Vanilla Buttermilk Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All purpose Flour sifted
  • 1 & 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 & 1/4 cups Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable oil
  • 3 Eggs at room temperature
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

Preheat & Grease:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. Grease and flour a 12-inch bundt pan, set it aside.

Dry ingredients:

  • In a mixing bowl whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and sugar until everything is mixed well together. Set aside.

Wet ingredients:

  • In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.

Combine the two:

  • Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients while alternating with the buttermilk.

Bake:

  • Once the batter is mixed well, pour it into the greased pan and bake for 1 h20-25 or until a toothpick inserted in comes out clean.
  • Let it cool for 10-15 minutes. You can always glaze the cake or frost or enjoy it plain.

Notes

For a glaze:
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp Whole milk
Mix everything together and drizzle over a cooled cake.
