Put a 1/4 cup of beans on the side and blend the remaining beans along with water until smooth.
Strain the blended beans into a medium pot.
Place the pot over medium-low heat.
Stir in the rest of the beans, coconut milk, parsley, thyme, ground cloves, garlic powder and salt.
Simmer for 20-30 minutes. Stir constantly.
Serve with some rice and enjoy.
