Ingredients
The seasoning:
6Turkey wings
2tbspMaggi seasoning sauce or alternative
4tspPaprika
2tspGarlic powder
2tspSalt
1/2tspBlack pepper
The browning:
2tbspBrown sugar
1/4cupVegetable oil
The base:
3 & 1/2cupsWater
2tbspTomato paste
1tspSalt
1/2tspBlack pepper
4-6springsFresh parsleychopped and remove the branch
4springsFresh thyme
2mediumGarlic clovesminced
1mediumOniondiced
1mediumBell pepperdiced
2Pimento peppersdiced
Instructions
Seasoning the wings:
In a bowl, mix together the wings, maggi sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
Cover and let it marinade overnight or at least 4 hours.
Making the browning:
Warm a large pot over medium-high heat, add the oil.
Once the oil is warm, spread the sugar evenly into the oil and let it caramelize for about 1-2 minutes without stirring.
Place the wings in the caramel and cook for 5 minutes on each side. You may need to work in batches.
Remove the wing from the pot and set aside.
Making the base:
Cook the bell pepper, pimento pepper, garlic and onion for 2-3 minutes.
After the 3 minute mark, add the wings, water, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, thyme and parsley.
Stir everything and lower the heat to low and let it cook for 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours.
