Caribbean Boiled Cassava Dumplings

Ingredients

All-purpose flour
sifted
1 & 1/4
cups
Grated cassava
1/2
cup
Water
at room temperature

tbsp
Butter
at room temperature

tbsp
Granulated sugar

tsp
Salt
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, salt and sugar together.
Add the butter and cassava, mix everything together.
Gradually knead in the water.
Knead on a floured surface for at least 1 minute. The dough should be slightly sticky.
Divide the dough into 16 equal balls. Take each ball and flatten in the palm of your hands. Set aside.
Place each dumpling in a pot of boiling water that has been salted. Boil for 10-15 minutes. The dumplings should float to the top when it is done.
